Incredible Sculpted 3D Ice Cubes: 3D on the Rocks

Japanese whiskey company Suntory Whiskey has created the most beautifully sculpted ice cubes we’ve ever come across. The project is named “3D on the Rocks“, the level of detail is extraordinary. The Zen Buddhist temple carved in the video below is mindbogglingly stunning.

TBWA\Hakuhodo used an app called Autodesk 123D to capture the 3D images and prepare them for the milling process. The CNC router used for carving the blocks, was cooled to -7 degrees Celsius to prevent the ice from melting.
