Before the invention of photography in the mid of 19th century, the silhouettes were often used to illustrate any scenes or pictures of someone. The word “silhouette” appeared in the 17th century due to the harsh policies of the French finance minister Etienne le Siluetta. Silhouette – Simplistic the extreme image of the object with the outlining only its external borders. In photography, silhouettes of the object is achieved by illumination from behind. This method is used to conceal the identity or emphasize the characteristic features of the model. Also, it is often used In shooting sports and dance. By creating a silhouette, a photographer attached to the frame drama, creates a special atmosphere and makes the banal scene of a work of art.
