Miniature pigs, also known as teacup pigs, mini pigs, and micro pigs are a breed of pig developed for research and to have as pets, their popularity grew in the 1980s and farmers are still cross-breeding different breeds of pigs, trying to produce a truly mini pig that would suitable as a home pet.
