France WWI Cenetenary Taxis de la Marne

People dressed with French uniforms dating from the beginning of WWI leave the Invalides in Paris with ‘Taxis de la Marne’ on September 7, 2014, for a parade during commemorations marking 100 years since the start of WWI. On September 6 and 7, 1914 on the orders of the General Gallieni, about 600 taxis and a few buses were requisitioned in Paris to transport soldiers of the 7th Infantry Division to the front.
