1. The most remote inhabited island in the world, Tristan da Cunha. This is the name of the whole archipelago, located in the southern Atlantic Ocean. The archipelago is part of the British overseas territory of Saint Helena, and its capital name is very romantic – Edinburgh of the Seven Seas. 2. As can be seen on the map it is located almost in the center of the Atlantic.
4. The main island of the archipelago was formed about a million years ago. The highest point of the island is Volcano Peak Queen Mary (2055 m), because of which local residents on several occasions were forced to leave Tristan da Kunyu.
