These amazing light art images are produced in just a few minutes by photographer and artist Darren Pearson (aka Darius Twin). He must work fast, drawing the object in the air with a torch, if he stayed in one place for too long, he would also appear in the long-exposure image.

Drawing these complex shapes in the air with no guide is hard to master, it can take 10 or more attempts to get it just right.

In one of his latest projects ‘Lightspeed’ Darren has painstakingly put together 1,000 of these light paintings and produced an awesome stop-motion animation. He said the project took a whole year to complete.
