LIFE is a word which people never understood take a look of some new life photos, really amazing photos of animals from a new National Geographic Documentary called “Extraordinary Animals in the Womb”. Producer of the show, Peter Chinn, used a combination of three-dimensional ultrasound scans, computer graphics and tiny cameras to capture the process from conception to birth.

It’s all very “cute”, until you realize that cameras were inserted into these (captive) mothers’ wombs without their consent, for the viewing entertainment of National Geographic readers. I personally do not believe that our “right” to satisfy our curiousity trumps the rights of a pregnant mother to the sanctity of her own body, or to her freedom … but I guess that makes me an “animal rights extremist”.
