3. Driver pleads guilty for driving a Zamboni with a 0.32 BAC

A man will serve two years of probation for driving drunk in January while operating a Zamboni at an Apple Valley, Minn., ice arena. Joel Keith Bruss, 34, of Apple Valley was sentenced Thursday, May 31, in Dakota County District Court after pleading guilty to gross misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. Two identical charges and a less severe drunken-driving charge were dismissed in the plea.

A Phoenix, Ariz., woman put her 5-week-old baby on top of her car in his car seat and drove away, apparently forgetting he was there, not even noticing when the seat fell off the car and landed in an intersection, police said. Neighbors discovered the baby on the roadway, still strapped to his safety seat, which was lying on its side. Luckily, the baby was unhurt.

Most of the inhabitants of Chaulkhowa Nagaon village had been to a Bihu function. When the programme drew to a close, swarms of spiders suddenly descended from nowhere and started biting the people.

9. B.C. bear ate corpse of convicted murderer

The corpse of a man eaten by a B.C. bear was that of a convicted killer, officials have confirmed. The B.C. Coroners Service identified the man as 53-year-old Rory Nelson Wagner of Kamloops, B.C., whose dismembered and partially consumed remains were found Wednesday on a remote logging road between Merritt and Kamloops.
