Full story: http://www.rexfeatures.com/nanolink/98n1. A giant panda mother and her baby have been transferred to a large area of wilderness in China’s Sichuan Province in an effort to rehabilitate them to the wild. Captive-bred Cao Cao gave birth to Tao Tao last year and, to prevent him from getting used to humans, since his birth staff have only ever approached him while wearing special panda suits. As such they are hoping that Cao Cao will be able to adapt to life in the wild. Since his birth Tao Tao has been learning all the behaviours pandas need in the wild, such as walking, climbing trees and looking for food. Now that he is six months old researchers are stepping up the programme with the introduction of a new phase of training. He and his mother have been moved to a large mountain area for more intensive wild habitat training. Video: http://rexfeatures.smugmug.com/Other/Panda-release/15971471_pzK2Y#1198072975_aLHPc
