The theme of this year’s competition was Home, Habitat and Shelter and the Society of Biology received nearly 800 entries. The annual Photographer of the Year competition is open to amateur photographers, aged over 18, and has a top prize of £1000. The Young Photographer of the Year competition is open to amateur photographers, aged 18 and under, and has a top prize of £500. The winners will be announced at the Society of Biology Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 14th October at the King’s Fund, London.
