Constructing a building takes time, money and man-power and, if a building is designed with new concept or design then it takes great amount of calculation, experience and innovation.

I am sure many of you have seen some incredible architecture in your lifetime and many of you might be having dreams to watch some marvelous structures around the world. Today I have come up with some of the Most Creative Works done on Buildings from Around the World which will surely amaze you in a way.

So here’s the Odd Stuff Magazine’s collection of Strange and Creative Buildings around the World.

1. The Atomium

Situated in Brussels, Belgium The Atomium was constructed in 1958 by architect André Waterkeyn. Atomium Stands tall at 102 meters with nice steel spheres connected so that it looks like a unit cell. It still looks good because it was renovated in 2004 to 2006 which included change in aluminum to steel, adding a dormitory for children etc.

2. Barcode Building

Situated at St. Petersburg, Russia, its a building made in the form of giant barcode. The Large windows which create the impression of a barcode helps to clarify the functional identity of the building. Its surely an eye catcher with all the bright red color and great architecture.

3. Blur Building

Blur Building, designed by architects Elizabeth Diller and Ricardo Scofidio is situated at the base of Lake Neuchatel in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. This marvel consists of a 60 x 100 x 20 – meter metal, that sprays many tiny drops of lake water from 31400 jets.

4. CyberTecture Egg Building

Cybertecture egg building is situated in Mumbai, India. Its 32,000 sq m egg-shaped building that will combine iconic architecture, environmental design, intelligent systems, and new engineering to create an awe-inspiring landmark in the city. In addition to its great design its been said that the bathrooms will monitor workers health by measuring weight and blood pressure. And a doctor will be alerted to any drastic changes.

5. Solar Ark

Solar Ark situated in Gifu Prefecture, Japan built by Sanyo. It’s one of the most impressive Solar power generator buildings in the world. The building was built to symbolize the goal of becoming a “clean energy society” and inside it there is a Solar Museum. The Ark incorporates 5,046 Solar Panels, and produces about 630 kW of power, which means 530,000 kWh of clean energy is produced annually by the structure. Pictures of the Solar Ark

6. Basket Building

Basket Building is situated at Ohio, USA. Its a seven-story corporate headquarters of the Longaberger Basket Company. Inside the building there is atrium that soars up to a glass ceiling, through which you can see the basket handles that come together over the roof.

7. Piano House

Piano House is situated at An Hui Province, China. Inside the transparent violin is the escalator to the building. Apparently, the building has been built by the local government to interest people to the newly developing area. This building is pure mix-match of music and art.

8. Esplanade

Its a waterside building located on six hectares of waterfront land alongside Marina Bay near the face of the Singapore River. The main purpose of building is for performing arts for the island nation of Singapore. Taking its name from the nearby Esplanade, it contains a 1,600 seat concert hall and a 2,000 seat theatre for the performing arts.

10. Eden Project

The Eden Project is a visitor attraction in the United Kingdom, including the world’s largest greenhouse. Inside the artificial biomes are plants that are collected from all around the world. The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, located 2 kilometers (1.25 mi) from the town of St Blazey and 5 kilometres (3 mi) from the larger town of St Austell, Cornwall. from Wikipedia

11. Forest Spiral

The Waldspirale is a residential building complex in Darmstadt, Germany, built in the 1990s. The name translates into English as wooded spiral, reflecting both the general plan of the building and the fact that it has a green roof. It was designed by Viennese artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, planned and implemented by architect Heinz M. Springmann, and constructed by the Bauverein Darmstadt company. 12. Robot Building

The Robot Building, located in the Sathorn business district of Bangkok, Thailand, houses United Overseas Bank’s Bangkok headquarters. It was designed for the Bank of Asia by Sumet Jumsai to reflect the computerization of banking; its architecture is a reaction against neoclassical and high-tech postmodern architecture. The building’s features, such as progressively receding walls, antennas, and eyes, contribute to its robotic appearance and to its practical function. Completed in 1986, the building is one of the last examples of modern architecture in Bangkok.

13. Atlantis

14. Rotating Tower

Rotating Tower (Dubai) floors would be capable of rotating around a central axis. It will be continually in motion, changing shape and giving residents the ability to choose a new view at the touch of a button. The form of the building would constantly change as each floor rotates separately giving a new view of the building as it turns. The Architect ensures a very high resistance to earthquakes as each floor rotates independently.

15. Banpo Bridge

Banpo Bridge situated at Seoul, South Korea. Its the world’s longest bridge fountain that set a Guinness World Record with nearly 10,000 LED nozzles that run along both sides that is 1,140m long, shooting out 190 tons of water per minute. The project is the first of its kind in the world. The bridge has 38 water pumps and 9,380 nozzles on either side, which draw 190 tons of water per minute from the river 20 meters below the deck, and shoots as far as 43 meters horizontally.

16. Palais Bulles

Palais Bulles is situated at Cannes, France. In the early Eighties, fashion designer Pierre Cardin wanted to buy an atypical summer house in Cannes. While searching, he stumbled across a construction site being built by architect Antti Lovag for a French industrialist. When the owner died before the Bubble home’s completion, Cardin bought asked the architect to complete it for him. The finished home is all curves, inside and out.

17. Solar Furnace

Solar Furnace is situated at Odeillo, France. A curved mirror (or an array of mirrors) that acts as a parabolic reflector, concentrating light onto a focal point. The largest solar furnace in the world is at Odeillo in the Pyrenees-Orientales in France, opened in 1970.

18. Parc Guell

Parc Guell is situated at Barcelona, Spain. Park Güell is a garden complex with architectural elements situated on the hill of el Carmel in the Gràcia district of Barcelona,Catalonia, Spain. Park Güell is skillfully designed and it certainly looks like a fairy tale scene. The bright colors and the aura of the park is astounding.

19. Montreal Biosphere

Montreal Biosphere is situated at Canada. The Biosphère of Environment Canada is a museum in Montreal dedicated to water and the environment. It is located at Parc Jean-Drapeau, on Île Sainte-Hélène in the former pavilion of the United States for the 1967 World Fair Expo 67.

20. Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum

Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum is situated at Canada. This structure is tilted and adding to its name, it has a money on there head. A person hanging on a rope and some more weird things that add up to there unique design.

21. Lotus Temple

Lotus Temple is situated at Delhi, India. The Bahá’í House of Worship in Delhi, India, popularly known as the Lotus Temple due to its flower like shape, is a Bahá’í House of Worship and also a prominent attraction in Delhi. It was completed in 1986 and serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian subcontinent. It has won numerous architectural awards and been featured in hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles.
